The Asian Gala brings together families, community leaders, supporters, and friends from across West Michigan for a night of cultural performances, exceptional dining, inspiring stories, and meaningful connections.

More than a celebration, this fundraising event is an opportunity to honor the rich traditions and diverse cultures that shape our Asian community while supporting initiatives that strengthen and uplift future generations. Key Note Speaker

Kristina D. Ko is Vice President of Government and Community Affairs and Chief Government Affairs Officer at Corewell Health. 


Kristina has more than 25 years of experience working on health care issues across non profit and for-profit industries and local, state and federal government.

Prior to joining Corewell Health, she led federal advocacy for higher education and research at the University of Michigan and served as a health care adviser to former U.S. Senator Carl Levin, including work on the Affordable Care Act, Senate Armed Services  Committee and Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.


Kristina earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Public Policy in finance and health administration from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, where she was a Dean’s Fellow and
McCormick-Tribune Urban Leadership Fellow
